You can lose the entire account balance
Trading leveraged XAUUSD can produce rapid and substantial losses. Grid, hedging and martingale-style methods may accumulate open positions and floating drawdown during trends, gaps, news events, liquidity changes, spread widening or execution problems.
Historical performance
Broker statements, Myfxbook data, profitable days, win rates, profit factors and drawdown figures describe specific historical conditions. They are not promises, forecasts or expected returns. A later period can be materially worse.
Balance versus equity
Closed-trade balance can appear positive while open positions carry significant floating losses. Review equity, margin level, open exposure and worst-case basket behaviour—not only closed profit.
Automation and technology
Software defects, licensing outages, VPS downtime, terminal errors, internet failures, broker intervention, slippage and symbol differences can affect execution. Automation does not remove the need for monitoring and emergency procedures.
